Student Speaker Contest Info Page

As a potential student speaker, you need to contact your local Lions Club to see if they are holding a student speaker contest. You can also check with your local high school counselor or principal for additional information. Remember, the Lions contest does not allow visual aides, uniforms, costumes, props.

The Student Speaker Committee, with the recommendation of Student Speaker Foundation and with the approval of the Council of Governors (COG) have changed the start date of the MD4 Student Speaker Contest. The Student Speaker handbook will reflect the following new dates:

New Contest Schedule:

Student Speakers Contest Dates

Club contests on or before February 26, 2025
Zone contests on or before March 18, 2025
Region Contests on or before April 15, 2025
District contests on or before May 6, 2025
Area Contests on or before May 20, 2025
June COG in Sacramento, CA on Saturday, June 15, 2025
