Celebration of Life for Terri Galli

September 12, 2018

Passing of a Lion and Partner in Service

It is with a heavy heart I pass along the news of Theresa (Terri) Teakell Galli’s death.  She passed quietly at home with family present @ 9:00 pm on the evening of the 12th of September.

Terri was a Greater Natomas Lion.  Her husband Phil Galli is a Life Member of the Antelope Lions.  Terri also worked in the Twin Rivers School district for 30+ years.  She was assigned to Foothill and several other schools.

Terri was instrumental in bringing the LEOS program to fruition in District 4C5.  She helped form several LEO’s clubs and was always there to help youth.  She and Lion Phil were recognized with a Governor’s award as a couple, for all they had done together for the LEO’s program.

The celebration of life is currently planned for:

Saturday, 20 Oct 2018.
12:00pm – 6:00pm
918 Oak Ln, Rio Linda

Phil has requested that flowers not be sent, rather a donation in her name be made to District 4C5, Lions Education Foundation.  If LEF is not a project you support, then monetary donations for the family to help cover funeral costs and defray additional living expenses is appreciated.

The Passing of Lion Edith Hensley

Country Club Lions Club regrets to inform members of District 4-C5 of the passing of our dear friend and member Lion Edith Hemsley. Lion Edith was born May 7, 1932 and has been a Lion since November 1996.

As a dedicated Lion she held the office of Zone Chair, Club Vice -President, Club Director, Blood Drive Chair, White Cane Chair and was a Melvin Jones Fellow.

One of the reason many visitors came to American River Lions Club and Country Club Lions Club was to enjoy her great meals. She was also well known by many other Lions Club members in our District for the wonderful meals she prepared and served at their meetings and events.

Lion Edith’s dedication to service inspired many members of all the clubs she has had the opportunity to work with. to succeed in all of their endeavors. Lion Edith leaves behind three children, Marcus, Douglas and Dana.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 10:am. Mount Vernon Memorial Park,
8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks CA, 95628.
